The Participants of the 2008 WCBRT will be competing for prize money and jackpots that are based on the number of paid teams and optional jackpot entrants at the time of the event. More Importantly, the winning team will be crowned "World Champion" of what is sure to become one of the most respected and conservation minded tournaments on the planet.

Team Entry Fee Prize Money Pool Payout Schedule:
50% to First place
30% to Second place
20% to Third place

Optional Jackpots:
A minimum of 80% (Eighty percent) of the optional daily jackpot monies and a minimum of 80% (Eighty percent) entry money will be paid back to the anglers in prize money. A minimum of 5% (five percent) of the total Optional Jackpot monies collected will be donated to the The Billfish Foundation and the Local Los Ninos del Capitan Childrens Charity which are non-profit charities and qualify for tax deductions. All tournament expenses will be deducted including taxes before the payout..

All prize money awards will be given to the team captain to be disbursed among the team and crew as they see fit. All appropriate local, state, and federal taxes will be deducted from the prize winnings as required by Mexican law. All prize money taxes are the responsibility of the winning teams.
